Your friends. Your table.

A private poker table for your friends

Want to play with people you know? Create a private table inside Hoot and share its invitation with friends. All balances used here are practice chips with no monetary value.

Are you hosting or bringing an invitation?

If you are organizing the session, open private tables and choose Play with friends. Enter the table name, choose its settings and confirm creation. Once the table opens, open its menu, choose Invite friends, then Create invitation. Copy the link shown in the result and share it with your group.

If someone invited you, choose I have an invitation, paste the link or code and confirm acceptance. Accepting opens the table and grants access. To play, open Join table and confirm a starting stack within its limits; the game selects an available seat automatically. You do not need to create a second table.

Agree on three things before the deal

Choose a game, a start time and a practice-blind level. Omaha is not simply Hold’em with more cards: the requirement to use two hole cards changes how you read each situation.

Choose a starting amount that suits the group’s experience. Everyone should be able to follow the betting and understand decisions; a large-looking stack is not the goal. The game’s displayed seat count and entry conditions govern joining.

Share the invitation with the intended group

Send the table invitation to the people you want to play with. Posting it publicly can put it in the hands of people outside your group. Never send your password or account credentials in place of an invitation.

The invitation result shows when its link expires. Ask the host for a new link if it has expired. An invitation does not reserve a seat: if joining fails, read the game’s message and check seat availability, the required starting balance and invitation validity before trying again. Do not create a new table to solve a problem with an existing invitation.

  • Share the table invitation, not your account credentials.
  • Tell guests which game you are playing and when.
  • Check available seats in the game before the session begins.
  • Respect each player’s turn and time to decide.

Whale Club is separate from a friends’ table

Whale Club is a separate section from friends’ private tables. Read its current application and invitation status in the game. An application does not create a table or guarantee acceptance, a date or a seat; use the private-tables section to host your own practice session.

Tables presented as previews of prospective games are illustrative. Their displayed pots are not live pots and do not mean players are currently seated there. A real game invitation should make that game’s details clear.

Keep competition fair among friends

Do not share private cards with a friend while a hand is active or coordinate off-table against another player. Knowing one another does not make sharing hidden information part of fair play.

Save detailed hand discussion until the hand finishes. When reviewing a disputed decision, focus on the rules and amounts visible at the time, not just the final card’s result.

Common questions

Does requesting a club invitation create a table?

No. Club applications and invitations have their own status. To arrange a practice session with friends, create a table from the private-tables section.

Are the preview pots live?

No. Prospective-game previews are illustrations, not live activity or a promise of a particular pot size.

Does a private table use real money?

Hoot currently uses practice chips with no monetary value or cash withdrawal. A table being private does not change what its balance represents.
